Sales Policy - Nigerian Dwarf Goats of Lil Swatara

Lil Swatara’s Nigerian Dwarfs – Sales Contract & Policies

A signed copy of this form must accompany any deposit. Deposits without a signed contract will not be accepted.

This agreement is made on __________________ by and between __________________ (“Buyer”) and Lil Swatara’s Nigerian Dwarfs (“Seller”).

Deposit Policy (Updated for 2026)

To reserve a kid, a $200 deposit per goat is required and must be accompanied by this signed contract.

Deposits are paid electronically to Lil Swatara business PayPal account (PayPal Goods & Services), or by cash drop‑off. Because online payments can be reversed, the deposit is refunded at pickup once the full cash balance is paid.

How it works:

  • Buyer pays a $200 deposit per goat to hold the animal/s.
  • Deposit protects the seller from payment reversals.
  • At pickup, buyer pays the full purchase price in cash only.
  • Once full cash payment is received, the $200 deposit is refunded to the buyer on the spot.

Deposits are non‑refundable unless we cannot provide the goat you reserved.

Health, Care & Terms

  1. Seller guarantees the goat(s) is healthy at time of sale. Buyer may request a veterinary exam at their own expense.
  2. No guarantees are made regarding height, color, fertility, milk production, show quality, or longevity once the goat leaves the farm.
  3. Travel and management changes are stressful; buyer agrees to transition feed and environment slowly. Seller is not responsible for any illness or stress‑related issues that occur after the goat leaves the property. Kids receive one Fortified B Complex shot at pickup; for long trips, buyer is responsible for monitoring temperature, hydration, and stress during transport.
  4. All goats will be disbudded unless naturally polled. Kids over 6 weeks will be tattooed, vaccinated for CD/T, and dewormed.
  5. Bottle babies leave with milk, feeding supplies, a feeding schedule, and a folder containing herd test results and health information.
  6. Bottle babies leave un‑tattooed for their safety and comfort; buyer is responsible for tattooing at the appropriate age if needed for ADGA registration or events.
  7. Bottle babies are not banded before leaving; we strongly recommend waiting until 10–12 weeks of age when possible.
  8. Pet/wether & pet doe sales do not include registration papers and will not be tattooed.
  9. Buyer will receive copies of current herd test results.
  10. If the goat is not picked up by the agreed date, it may be relisted without refund.
  11. If the goat becomes ill, injured, or dies before pickup, seller will refund the deposit in full.
  12. Goats will not leave the property until full cash payment is received.
  13. Out‑of‑state buyers are responsible for required Health Certificates (approx. $30). Seller will arrange the appointment.
